Kate Christensen — Disruptor Awards

Kate helps young startups transform traditional industries. Eager to work with disruptive companies in their missions to change the financial services industry, Kate joined Barclays to launch Rise, the US hub of their open innovation group. She scouted fintech startups for the bank, initiating pilots and partnerships between entrepreneurs and Barclays. She launched the bank's first ever podcast, Rise Radio, where she interviewed founders and executives alike about emerging technologies in finance. Since Barclays, Kate has consulted for a spectrum of early stage startups from fintech and fitness to the future of retail.

Kate studied Political Science and Art History at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she was a rower and radio DJ. She hasn't touched an erg since graduating, but continues to DJ any chance she gets.
